Hypertension is a condition of systolic blood pressure > 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure > 90 mmHg. Hypertension can cause complications such as stroke, myocardial infarction, kidney failure and heart failure. One of the non-pharmacological therapies used is tomato juice. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of tomatoes on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients in RT.09 RW.04 Kampung Pulo, Rawabuaya Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta. The research design used is a quasy experimental design with the One Group Pre And Post Test Without Control design. The sample used by all residents of RT.09/RW04 was 18 respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria using the federer formula. The instruments used in this study were tomato juice, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope and observation sheet. The results of statistical tests using paired t-test with a p value of 0.000, it can be concluded that there is an effect of tomato juice on reducing blood pressure in people with hypertension. Suggestions are that residents of RT.09 RW.04 Kampung Pulo, Rawabuaya Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta can apply the use of tomato juice in lowering blood pressure in hypertension sufferers.
