Abstract

Latar Belakang: Paparan radiasi ionisasi dalam prosedur radiologi penting untuk diagnosis dan pengobatan, namun disertai risiko kerusakan jaringan dan kanker. Penerapan prinsip "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" (ALARA) telah diakui secara global untuk meminimalkan dosis radiasi tanpa mengurangi kualitas diagnostik. Meskipun teknologi modern dan pelatihan keselamatan telah menunjukkan efektivitasnya, kesenjangan dalam implementasi tetap menjadi tantangan, terutama di negara berkembang. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi tantangan dalam pengelolaan dosis radiasi, mengevaluasi efektivitas teknologi modern dan pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kebijakan dan praktik keselamatan radiasi di lingkungan klinis. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naratif, dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap tenaga radiologi di rumah sakit tersier. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk memilih partisipan dengan pengalaman relevan. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan naratif untuk mengidentifikasi tema utama, seperti tantangan, strategi perlindungan, dan efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil: Penerapan prinsip ALARA dan pengaturan parameter fluoroskopi terbukti menurunkan paparan radiasi hingga 95% tanpa mengurangi kualitas diagnostik. Teknologi pelindung inovatif, seperti SEPARPROCATH®, mengurangi paparan operator hingga 59%. Pelatihan rutin meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap protokol keselamatan hingga 85%, meskipun keterbatasan teknologi dan biaya tinggi menjadi kendala signifikan. Selama pandemi COVID-19, protokol keselamatan radiasi menghadapi tantangan tambahan terkait keselamatan infeksi. Kesimpulan: Optimalisasi dosis radiasi memerlukan penerapan teknologi modern, pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan kebijakan keselamatan yang lebih kuat. Langkah-langkah ini esensial untuk melindungi pasien dan tenaga medis dari risiko paparan radiasi. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi yang lebih luas dalam berbagai konteks klinis.
