Background : The first 1000 days of a child's life are crucial and should be treated with great care as this is the time for both the child's physical and mental development. Any nutritional issues that develop during this time are irreversible and cannot be resolved. Toddlers' nutritional condition is significantly influenced by their mothers' understanding of the First 1000 Days of Life and Food Intake. Purpose : his study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about the First 1000 Days of Life and Food Intake with the nutritional status of toddlers at the Medan Polonia Community Health Center. Method : This kind of study used a cross-sectional design and quantitative methodology. The sample method included 41 moms with infants between the ages of 6 and 24 months. Chi-square analysis was done on the data. Result : The study's findings demonstrated that 65.9% of baduta's food intake was insufficient and 56.1% of moms in Posyandu in Hilimaziaya Village lacked knowledge. The study concludes that, with a p value of 0.002 (p<0.05), there was a link between toddler growth and mothers' knowledge of the first 1000 days of life. This association affects toddlers between the ages of 6 and 24 months. A p-value of 0.008 (p<0.05) indicates a correlation between food consumption and growth in toddlers between the ages of 6 and 24 months. Conclusion : Health professionals should be able to actively participate in educating the public about nutrition during the First 1000 Days of Life by employing media tools like posters and booklets. It was hoped that the mother of the toddler will be able to provide amounts of food that are suitable for her toddler's age in order to meet her child's nutritional needs from a young age.
